JOINED OXFORD COMMUNITY SCHOOLS
August 2022
This is my first year (2022-2023) at Oxford. However, I have been teaching Special Education since 1997. I have had the opportunity to work with all grade levels, K-12, throughout my career. Before coming to Oxford, I was teaching in Imlay City since 2008. I love working with all students and believe that we all learn at a different pace. Some of us just need a little extra help. Like I tell my students; their disability is like a roadblock. I am here to help them navigate around that roadblock.
Since 2008, my family and I have lived in Metamora. I have been married since 1995 and have two children. I have a son and a daughter. They both graduated from Lapeer High School and are on their way to building a wonderful life for themselves. We raise chickens, ducks, and turkeys. We also have cats and dogs. As a family, we love to travel and see new places. Our favorite place to visit is Yellowstone National Park. If we are not busy with animals or out exploring, you will find me sitting in the sun reading a book.
